BRAIN The brain is a complex organ that controls thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger and every process that regulates our body. Together, the brain and spinal cord that extends from it make up the central nervous system, or CNS. Your brain is divided into 3 MAIN parts. Frontal Lobe: The frontal system controls many complex functions, which are referred to as executive functions. These include planning, control of impulses, initiation, attention and emotion. Parietal Lobe: The parietal lobes provide sensory information to the brain including touch, pain and temperature. Occipital lobe: The occipital lobes sit at the back of the head and are responsible for visual perception, including coulor, form and motion.
